ABOUT THE ROLE:                                                                     

The Vice President of Revenue is a key member of the executive team responsible for leading and managing the company's revenue generation and sponsorship strategies through partners, donors, and external stakeholders. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans to drive revenue growth through sponsorships, partnerships, donorship programs, and ticketing and hospitality initiatives. The VP of Revenue also works closely with cross-functional teams, consultants, local and regional stakeholders, and FIFA to create and optimize revenue streams that not only ensure Boston ‘26's success, but build the foundation for its legacy.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


GENERAL

  • Coordinate commercial program for the Boston Host Committee.
  • Manage and support development of sales pipeline for the Host City Supporter and Donor program.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, donors, partners, and industry influencers. 
  • Primary liaison to FWC Boston’s commercial agency support for corporate donors and supporters. 
  • Develop a Small-Donor sales program and identify electronic payment platform.
  • Support in development of all commercial marketing materials.
  • Develop, in coordination with MarComs, B2B focused marketing plan to raise awareness in the community around the commercial program.
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for FIFA commercial team regarding prospect lists, contract administration, and updates to the commercial program.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with FIFA World Cup 26 Host City Agreement commercial matters (and for identifying points of discussion). Support communications, FIFA workshops, and site visits which have a commercial element.
  • Primary liaison for any third-party sales support to the Boston Host Committee (e.g., sales agency, Kraft Sports + Entertainment, etc.)
  • Develop ideas to enhance the commercial offering for the Boston Host Committee.
  • Implement sales tracking and financial reporting tools for CEO.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and events teams to create compelling sponsorship proposals and activation plans.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify new revenue streams and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with sponsors and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Oversee the budget and financial performance of the revenue and sponsorships department.
  • In coordination with President and relevant Departments, responsible for communicating with community stakeholders (tourism, chamber of commerce, etc.) on relevant FIFA World Cup 26 commercial updates. 


SUPPORTER AND DONOR SALES AND SPONSORSHIP 

  • Support the development of a Host City Supporters and Donors prospect list. 
  • Oversee and guide the development of commercial assets for the Host City Supporter and Donor program.
  • Oversee and guide the development of the sales deck and sales process to Host City Supporters and Donors. 
  • Participate in sales negotiations for Host City Supporters and Donors. 
  • Develop a Small-Donor sales strategy including identifying platform and assets to be offered. 


SPONSORSHIP MANAGEMENT 

  • Make recommendations for staffing and expanded resources to manage account servicing needs. 
  • Oversee account servicing team for Host City Supporters and Host City Donors. 
  • Ensure delivery of all Host City Supporter and Donor Rights.


The position will collaborate with the President and leadership teams in the following areas as needed:


  • Support FIFA Fan Festival planning and commercial program.
  • Coordinate on FIFA Fan Festival footprint design and allocation of infrastructure, keeping in mind what makes the most commercial sense. 
  • Develop and propose revenue avenues (F&B concessions commission, hospitality, additional activations for Commercial Affiliates, non-Match Day revenue, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain active relationships with FIFA Commercial Affiliates. 
  • Develop, create, discuss, and support the selling of activation opportunities for FIFA Commercial Affiliates in Host Committee Market.
  • With city transport authorities (bus, taxi, metro, etc.) develop Host City dressing opportunities (rate card) for FIFA Commercial Affiliates and Host City Supporters for the event period (and for the period of other official events).
  • Develop Host City dressing opportunities on unique sites for Commercial Affiliates and Host City Supporters for event period (and for period of other official events).
  • Support FIFA legal and related instructions regarding Brand Protection.
  • Ensure commercial clean zone at all official sites including Stadium, Training Sites, FIFA Fan Festival, etc.
  • Communicate basic Brand Protection rules to commercial entities (especially commercial entities adjacent to official sites such as FIFA Fan Festival, training sites, and stadium) and develop city-wide communication plan of Brand Protection principles (i.e., “dos and don’ts”).


WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years in revenue generation, sales, sponsorships, or advancement with a proven track record of success. Sports industry experience a major plus.
  • Strategic thinker and business acumen with the ability to develop and implement effective plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in sponsorship and revenue generation, particularly in sports.

WORK EXPECTATIONS:

  • Full-time, onsite, 40hr per week role that may require occasional evening and weekend work. Local and regional travel is expected on occasion. 
  • This role is estimated to conclude in late Summer / early Fall of 2026.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The compensation range is competitive and commensurate with lived and professional experience, and includes access to:

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with 3% dollar for dollar company match, plus 50% of elective deferrals that exceed 3%, but do not exceed 5%. Elective deferrals may begin upon hire.
