Production Control Specialist

Targeted Pay $21-$22/hr
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Insight Global is seeking to hire a Production Control Specialist to support the manufacturing coordination for a large defense client in Chesapeake VA.
Typical Responsibilities
- Will be actively involved in the day-to-day functions of parts receiving, parts and product movement and working across Production Cells.
- Verify Production Kits
- Updating status in MMIS and SAP/Prism
- Generate rework routings in SAP/Prism
- Manage Vendor Cleaning and Coating items
- Ordering Chemicals
- Required to communicate with to the CRT and Store Keepers, LAM, Quality, as well as MDO and Program Management Work with PC’s across all Production Cells
- Induct Product to the Production Floor
- Manage MMIS material and product movement throughout the build
- Generate packing/shipping requests upon completion
Desired Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years’ relevant work experience
- Possess interpersonal skills that support broad influence and interaction with supervisors, fabrication personnel and functional managers
- Effectively utilizes standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
- Experience producing effective presentations of status, issues and actions
- Exhibits exceptional teaming ability
- High energy, self – starter with ability to perform work under general direction. E
- Ability to read and understand drawings and visual aids.
- Coordinating with Program personnel
- Knowledge of Specification and Requirements
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of SAP/PRISM
