Job Role Description

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Product Marketing UI/UX Designer with a deep understanding of Shopify to lead the design and optimization of our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating seamless user experiences and driving conversions through effective design strategies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, enhance user interfaces, and optimize the overall customer journey on our Shopify platform.


Responsibilities

  • Directly work with creative team through the entire iterative product lifecycle including: ideation, design, implementation, and feedback
  • Utilize your expertise in Shopify to customize themes, layouts, and functionality to align with our branding and marketing goals
  • Create engaging marketing collateral, including banners, landing pages, and email templates, to support promotional campaigns and product launches
  • Establish workflows and UI/UX designs based on best practices and frameworks to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Work with the developers to effectively plan and support the implementation of the design vision
  • Conduct user research in support of the roadmap vision to validate and refine with user-driven metrics
  • Create sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, clickable prototypes, and design systems
  • Design digital & print assets for multiple sales channels as part of the prototyping phase within product-development sprints
  • Facilitate project communication across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
  • Present designs to end users and stakeholders, collect feedback, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Test to ensure final deliverable aligns with the designs before live release


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design, or related field from one of the top 30 universities, like UC San Diego, UC Los Angles, UC Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, etc
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing Shopify projects
  • Must be proficient in Shopify and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Must be proficient with prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc.)
  • Takes initiative when problem-solving and is not afraid to ask questions
  • *Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript is a huge plus*
  • *Knowledge of jQuery and PHP is a plus*
  • *Familiarity with cPanel, phpMyAdmin, and FTP is a plus*
  • *Knowledge of Digital Marketing tactics is a plus*


*This position is full-time, on-site working out of our office in San Diego, California.*
