Responsibilities

The Quality/Safety Manager oversees the organization's total quality management strategies and safety programs. Key responsibilities include:

·        Establishing quality and safety metrics for product and service excellence.

·        Leading the development and implementation of policies and programs that ensure product compliance with external and internal standards.

·        Conducting rigorous safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and developing risk mitigation strategies.

·        Facilitating training sessions for employees on quality improvement and safety practices.

·        Monitoring ongoing performance and quality control systems to ensure products meet consumer expectations and regulatory standards.

·        Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

·        Preparing detailed reports on quality and safety issues, investigations, and other significant outcomes based on the data collected.

·        Facilitate meetings/reviews with senior leadership to review safety and quality management systems

Tasks and Duties

  • Reviewing current policies and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Testing and examining samples of new products and monitoring phases of production to ensure overall quality.
  • Documenting internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
  • Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
  • Developing, recommending, and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
  • Managing and maintaining the cGMP documentation and certification processes.


Preferred Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Quality, occupational safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a quality assurance or safety role in the industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with food safety/quality certification standards like AIB, SQF, CFR, cGMP
