Job Description Quality Control Manager - Erlanger, KYThis is a full-time, exempt position.Job Summary: This position will provide oversight and leadership for all laboratory functions occurring in the Erlanger campus. This role will be involved with multiple departments including Operations, CD&D, inventory, and Continuous improvement. This position will continue to drive improvement at the Erlanger campus and facilitate lab personnel growth with regards to analytical, sensory, and microbiological techniques. This position will have customer interactions and determine corrective actions and preventative actions in laboratory failures. This position will report to the local Quality and Food Safety manager in Erlanger.Primary Job Functions: Plan, coordinate, and direct Erlanger lab team to achieve task completion in an appropriate timeframeAssist in the acquisition, implementation and documentation of new instrumentation and methodologyLead educate and grow quality team members and programsThis role will be responsible for people development, goal setting, and goal tracking of Erlanger Lab teamEnsure alignment of all finished product testing with Product Release Specifications and the Quality Management SystemManage Performance testing with an outside party to ensure Micro and Analytical teams comply to global ADM standardsAssist, as needed, to identify/rectify recurring issues with meeting specificationsProvide lab safety evaluations and improvementsPush lab technicians to maintain data integrity and efficiencyEnsure proper sensory training program is in place for quality team membersAssist in customer and 3rd party auditsManage shift coverage to efficiently cover all testing needsParticipate in Cross-functional teams to assure quality requirements are metRepresent the quality labs in a professional manner to external and internal partiesBring new ideas and improvements to quality protocols and proceduresRequirements:Minimum Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or related laboratory-based fieldMinimum of 5 years related experience in a food regulated industryMinimum of 5 years' experience in a related technical area Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as negotiation, influencing, and collaboration skillsDemonstrated ability to work cross functionally with internal and external customersWillingness to innovate and adapt best practicesAbility to encourage trust between operations, Development, and Quality departmentsWorking Conditions:Employees in this position working at this location are
