DriveShop is seeking an embedded employee to manage our daily Volvo Car USA client relationship and daily responsibilities to ensure our clients' initiatives and programs are executed to the highest quality. The Fleet Communications Specialist will be responsible for product communications and press fleet management. They will play a vital role in working with the media and overseeing the company fleet vehicles used to support media and marketing programs, events and test drives across the entire Volvo Cars USA network.

This is a full-time hybrid role located near Mahwah, NJ at the Volvo Cars USA headquarters. The role is not required to be in the Mahwah, NJ office each day, but in the office as necessary to accomplish shared projects and goals.


Job Functions:

·        Daily oversight of Volvo and DriveShop fleet management system reconciliation with insight into discrepancies.

·        Develop a deep working knowledge of Volvo vehicles and technologies.

·        Provide training to delivery drivers on vehicle knowledge and presentation highlights for individual vehicle models.

·        Develop earned & owned media product/tech stories for external audiences based on familiarity with the automotive and lifestyle media landscape.

·        Assist in the development of tools to create awareness of products and technologies among journalists (i.e., media guides, product walkarounds, etc.)

·        Support planning and activation of media events and activities.

·        Act as a Volvo Cars brand ambassador at media events and activations.

·        Support with budget planning and management for press cars, press events, and asset production.

·        Manage client relationships and ensure initiatives and programs are executed to the highest quality managing internal and external conditions and requirements.

·        Develop scope of work, budgets, and operations plans for regional media events in collaboration with client input and DriveShop Account and Client Services teams.

·        Conduct a weekly review of any fleet vehicles at service. Monitor for vehicles exceeding 30 days to resolve with local Volvo retailers.

·        Produce monthly reporting on Volvo fleet status and utilization.

·        Manage process for new vehicles & turn-ins with offices and update tracking documents to provide insight into fleet size status.

·        Manage and execute Volvo Accident reports for all accidents and incidents that occur.

·        Work with Volvo management to ensure yearly production ordering, delivery, and onsite new vehicle swaps are done seamlessly.

·        Manage shipment of license plates as well as renewed plate tabs and insurance certificates when required.

·        Work with external vendors as needed to maintain, transport, and activate the Volvo fleet.

·        Complete vehicle incident reports for DriveShop internal record keeping.

Experience and Education

•      3+ years of previous fleet management experience

•      3+ years of professional working experience in a corporate environment

•      Bachelor's degree or higher
