Quality Engineer - Lawrence, MA

6+ month contract to direct hire

Pay Rate: $40+ per hour

Mon-Fri; 1st Shift (OT as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

• Oversee Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring changes are properly documented, approved, and communicated across teams.

• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.

• Maintain and manage QMS documentation, ensuring accuracy, control, and compliance with ISO or equivalent standards.

• Provide leadership in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce defects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve quality processes, providing guidance and oversight as needed.

• Lead quality improvement projects, mentor junior team members, and promote a culture of quality excellence.

• Prepare detailed quality reports, metrics, and documentation for review by management and key stakeholders.


Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of CAPA, RCCA, and internal auditing processes.

• Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and QMS documentation control.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or related initiatives is highly preferred.

• Proven ability to drive quality improvement initiatives and manage cross-functional projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.

• ISO or equivalent certification is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
