Your Purpose: Ensure that electronics and systems of the Gardyn products are at the forefront of the industry and are reliable for an outstanding customer experience. You will own the performance of the electronics and hardware systems for the fleet.


To nail your job, you will:

  • Develop and qualify system and electronics solutions for high performance and high reliability products for the Gardyn Portfolio
  • Develop specifications, design and development of electronic systems, including hardware and firmware components
  • Lead the certification process of Gardyn products
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Handle qualification tests for the Gardyn products including normal use, abuse and accelerated testing
  • Design to cost and quality with reduced time to market
  • Lead effective failure detection, prevention, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective actions for electronics & system performances
  • Lead timely failure detection and analysis of the HW issues on the deployed fleet.
  • FMEA - Failure Mode and Effect Analysis for the full Gardyn product
  • Lead non-conformity management for production & deployed fleet on electronics & functional issues
  • Perform effective root cause analysis on any electronic system failures or deviations from specifications
  • Work closely with Customer Experience, engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions on product and/or on customer protocols improvements based on analysis results
  • Leverage CS feedback to identify issues and necessary improvements.
  • Support CS to ensure the troubleshooting they are doing is efficient and conducive to a great customer experience
  • Develop the tools and analytics to track the hardware's behavior, anticipate issues, and ensure a high level of performance in the field overall
  • Ensure Gardyn Products are at the forefront of innovation for electronics and LEDs
  • Conduct research to identify potential areas for innovation and competitive advantages
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in electronics engineering and qualification testing.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.

Job Location:

  • Washington Metro Area - Bethesda and Gaithersburg, MD
  • Hybrid Position: On-site at least 2/3 days a week to be in close contact of products (new & defective) and run tests
