ESI’s Project Engineer provides procedural and operational support to the project management team during project planning, bidding, and construction. They are a vital partner who assists and supports all other team members, focusing efforts on augmenting and supporting the Project Manager. Whether in the field or in the office, the Project Engineer understands the global needs of the project and is adept at prioritizing and providing tactical support to the team. Project Engineers strengthen the team and increase their capacity to effectively manage work.

Responsibilities:

  • Represents ESI as an ambassador to clientele, design teams, city officials, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in all aspects of a construction project, including bidding, construction/operations, project close-out, and warranty.
  • Manage project documentation control, including organizing, maintaining, and updating plan updates (ASI's CCD's, etc.) FRI's and responses, submittals, project close-out, and taking and distributing meeting minutes.
  • Participate in bid activities, including bid review, procuring adequate scope coverage, and estimating.
  • Assist in management and coordination of on-site trades.
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents by creating and maintaining project schedules.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • General knowledge of building construction, materials, means and methods, scheduling, project accounting and cost control procedures, general contract structure, general conditions, subcontract documents, construction drawings and specifications.
  • Can effectively search, navigate, and interpret contract documents (plans, specifications, RFI's, ASI's, CCD's, etc.)
  • Demonstrates leadership, integrity, perseverance, reliability, respect, self-discipline, dedication, and dependability.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs; specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Possesses organizational skills and is detail-oriented.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision and limited direction.
  • Shows an aptitude for management and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • General knowledge of LEED / Green Building principles and requirements.
  • Current safety certification, including OSHA 10-hour
  • SWPPP certification preferred but not required.
