Keys to an interview: Analyst, Cost & Inventory Accounting

  • At least 2 years' experience with cost accounting
  • Knowledge of inventory cycle counts and year-end physical counts
  • Experience with month-end close process, specific to inventory-related accounts
  • Public accounting (audit) experience preferred


Key responsibilities: Analyst, Cost & Inventory Accounting

  • Prepares monthly project cost forecast and analysis for Ops and Engineering Depts
  • Lead ad hoc manufacturing and production project financial forecast to support strategic initiatives
  • Support annual financial and government audits with relevant inventory and cost support
  • Review and verify the accuracy of Raw Material, WIP, and Finished Goods.
  • Project analysis including EAC review, WIP Reserves, NRV Loss, Margin Analysis, Cost Analysis and Cost Exception review.
  • Perform profit and cost variance analysis and identify the causes of discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing and auditing processes.
  • Assist in the month-end close process including report generation, review and analysis, journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Oversees weekly cycle counts and year-end physical inventory counts
  • Prepares monthly inventory accounts recs and ensure proper project accounting for monthly financials
