Job Description:
We are currently seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Production Lead to spearhead the operations at our galvanizing facility. The successful candidate will have a strong hands-on approach to lead our active production team and play a crucial role in managing and driving production, enhancing efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, developing staff, and delivering high-quality output to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of our galvanizing facility, ensuring processes are efficient and productive.
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures aimed at improving operational efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Lead and manage a diverse operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and collaboration.
- Implement employee development programs, including training, coaching, and mentoring, to improve team skills and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments (such as sales, logistics, and HR) to create integrated business plans and promote a cohesive organizational culture.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure all equipment is functional, compliant with safety standards, and optimized for operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize plant efficiency.
- Regularly assess operations for efficiency and make necessary adjustments to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Report on operational performance, providing insights and suggestions for improvement.
- Ensure the proper training of new hires in different departments.
Qualifications:
- Must have previous galvanizing or fabrication experience.
- Proven experience as a Production Lead, ideally within a galvanizing or similar industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of industry safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, including the ability to develop and mentor staff.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in operation management software and standard office software (e.g., MS Office).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines.
