Senior Research Associate- Translational Sciences

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of genomics and therapeutics and participate in the development of a diverse therapeutic pipeline driven by a transformative core technology.
The Senior Research Associate is responsible for processing samples, conducting assays, recording data, and assisting with assay optimization. The person will also analyze data and support studies, requiring expertise in ddPCR, qPCR, and nucleic acid isolation.
Location: South San Francisco, CA
Pay rate: $49 hr./- $53/ hr.
Schedule: M-F 8-5pm or 9-6pm, fully onsite
Job type: 1 year contract
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize the studies to support on a given day
- Process inbound samples for laboratory testing
- Conduct various assays on samples and accurately record data in an electronic laboratory notebook
- Assist in optimizing assays under development
- Analyze and present data to the team
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of ddPCR (droplet digital PCR) and qPCR, with manual processing experience (not automated)
- Experience in tissue processing
- Over 2 years of experience in nucleic acid isolation (DNA/RNA extraction) from a variety of tissue types
- Experience working with viral vectors (e.g., AAVs, lentivirus) is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with team members
