Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Middleware Administrator to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee. You will:

·      Function as a SME on enterprise systems and have advance skills in administering WebSphere Application Server, cloud system administration (Azure, AWS, and Google), and containerized application platform on Linux/AIX.

·      Work Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day within the window of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

·      Work on-call hours on a schedule to be determined

·      Work in a multi-tier and multi-platform enterprise class environment

·      Assess and analyze business requirements, current state environment and technology choices to evaluate security solution alternatives that meet solution architecture needs and support enterprise requirements.

·      Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure that project deliverables and deadlines are met

·      Communicate with clients, assisting them with their needs to ensure client satisfaction. Communicate the deployment/release schedule, release artifacts, priorities, and status to all stakeholders.

·      Coordinate releases with internal stakeholders.

·      Champion best practices and quality standards.

·      Participate in functional and technical meetings throughout the development lifecycle.

·      Additional cloud administration responsibilities

·      For WebSphere:

o  Perform upgrades, patches, and fix security issues

o  Monitor application performance, system performance, troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement fixes

o  Work closely with the development teams to design solutions, deploy and maintain application.

o  Install, configure and deploy new WebSphere application servers on AIX and Linux

o  Write and deploy shell scripts, automate tasks.

o  Work with SSL and application security in WebSphere.

o  Troubleshoot, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.

o  Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies.

o  Administer platforms such as MuleSoft, RabbitMQ, Docker / Podman, Promethus, Azure CI / CD.

Required Skills and Experience:

·      SME-level experience in administering WebSphere Application Server

·      SME-level experience in cloud system administration covering (Azure, AWS, and Google)

·      SME-level experience in containerized application platform on Linux/AIX

·      Ability to work 8 hours per day within the window of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

·      Ability to work on-call hours on a schedule to be determined

·      Hands-on experience in a multi-tier and multi=platform enterprise class environment

·      Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows operating system and system administration tasks

·      Highly available vertical / horizontal scaling, disaster recovery capabilities

·      Single Sign On, network load balancer, firewall, IP subnets.

·      On-prem monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace

·      Cloud monitoring capabilities like Azure Monitor

·      CI/CD pipelines: Ansible, Jenkins, Nexis, Maven, Bitbucket, etc.

·      Version control subsystem such as Git, Subversion, etc.

·      Storage subsystem

·      Salesforce

·      Knowledge of application development, implementation and deployment experience.

Web services and data integration techniques, messaging and transformation.

·      Performing system and software audits.

·      Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills related to Cloud, IAM and privileged access management.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills, on both technical and non-technical topics

·      Advanced root cause analysis and written and verbal communications skills.

·      Supporting and participating in 24 X 7 on-call weekly rotation.

·      Handling and reacting to infrastructure alerts reacting quickly.

·      Four-year college degree in Computer Science or equivalent

·      Working with SSL and application security in WebSphere

·      Administering platforms such as MuleSoft, RabbitMQ, Docker / Podman, Promethus, Azure CI / CD.

·      Supporting SaaS products in the cloud such as Adobe Enterprise, MuleSoft Cloud Integraiton
