Insight Investment are currently looking for a Senior Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) Analyst to join the Investment Management division, based in Boston. The successful individual will focus on MBS securities analysis to apply to portfolio investment decisions.


Role Responsibilities


•Own the Agency MBS investment process within Insight’s Fixed Income investment portfolio.

•Identify, analyze, and recommend value added opportunities in the Agency MBS market.

•Identify value and risk on a security level and compare relative value across assets in multi-sector portfolios.

•Develop and maintain framework for portfolio construction and risk management of Agency MBS investments.

•Develop and maintain relationships with key internal constituents (mainly Insight’s Portfolio Managers)

•Generate written and analytical research, construct and publish actionable trade ideas for (internal) client consumption. Compile market information and develop presentations to senior leadership and PMs.

•Analysis of trends in single and multifamily agency mortgage origination and securitization

•Evaluate and monitor the risk characteristics of portfolios of MBS and CMO securities including collateral analysis and understanding of deal structure.

•Develop additional quantitative and analytical tools and processes to enhance security selection and portfolio management across various mandates.


Experience Required


•Bachelor's degree.

•Concentration in Finance, Economics or Quantitative background.

•Mortgage analytics, prepayment modelling, and investment strategies in Agency MBS pass-through and/or mortgage derivatives.

•Advanced Excel skills. Deep knowledge of Bloomberg, Intex, Yieldbook, CPR&CDR or similar models and databases.

•Experience with scripting and/or programming languages such as VBA, SQL, Python, C++

•High attention to detail in a collaborative environment.

Under Massachusetts pay transparency law we are required to indicate the base salary range for this role of USD 140,000 to 170,000. Any offer of employment will be made based upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate and the base salary offered could be higher or lower than indicated.
