Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales role involves leading and managing all sales and marketing activities to achieve corporate goals. This individual will build and maintain relationships with agents and distributors, providing technical and pricing advice, driving strategic initiatives, and overseeing competitive analysis, market research, and budget management. The VP will collaborate with HR to recruit and retain top sales talent, forecast sales, and analyze performance. In addition, they will ensure smooth information flow between departments, contribute to enterprise-level strategies, and identify new market opportunities while coordinating efforts with corporate sales managers.
Direct staff and manage all sales and marketing activities relating to customers, products, pricing, distribution, advertising, promotion, agency, or employees to achieve corporate sales and profit goals, i.e., product and customer service.
Establish and manage relationships with agents and distributors, ensuring the sales team maintains and strengthens these connections.
Provide technical, environmental, and metals pricing advice, support, and direction to customers, utilizing the sales team's expertise to ensure comprehensive and accurate information.
Participate with the leadership team in implementing short—and long-term goals, objectives, plans, strategies, and budgets. Responsible for competitive analysis, product and market research, budgeting, and controlling sales department annual expenses, including managing local capital expenditures and any local contracting.
Work with HR to recruit, hire, and retain an appropriate level of sales personnel to meet the department and the corporation’s sales-related goals while maintaining high levels of customer service.
Oversee the development of accurate sales forecasts and analyze sales performance against these forecasts. This includes collaborating with the sales team to gather data, identify trends, and adjust strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Maintain a presence with the associations in which the company has market interest.
Assure a smooth flow of information between sales and other corporate departments, including timely reports as necessary.
Provide strategic leadership and collaboration by contributing at the enterprise level, identifying market opportunities aligned with company capabilities, actively engaging with R&D for product innovation, and recruiting and developing sales talent with a strong aptitude for collaboration and strategic thinking.
Continuously seek out new applications and market opportunities for Clients’ products by leveraging various resources, including reviewing technical periodicals, industry reports, and market trends.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities following the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsible, with the other officers, for establishing the company's organizational structure, recruiting and training of personnel, and enhancing employee morale and motivation by establishing and maintaining meaningful jobs and empowerment systems, competitive salary and benefit systems, and the consistent application of fair personnel policies.
Coordinates sales and marketing efforts with the Corporation’s Sales Manager(s).

To succeed, this individual must have a good technical aptitude, a high SQ, vital executive functioning, and the ability to lead the organization with a positive service leadership skill set. Strong International experience is a must. Process manufacturing is a solid plus, especially for Construction Products, Animal Feed, and Coatings.
Education
Bachelor’s degree with 10 - 20 years of experience in sales and marketing management
