Responsibilities:

  • Communicate organizational goals to team members to prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives – Provide mentorship as needed.
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members; provide guidance and direction.
  • Provide constructive and ongoing performance and development feedback to direct reports.
  • Oversees the general accounting functions.
  • Drive and oversee the audit process for applicable projects.
  • Direct the preparation of corporate budgets and projections, including forecasted fee income and expenses, review for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate schedule of cash needs.
  • Ensure all monthly fees are funded timely by the various project entities.
  • Oversee and facilitate reconciliation of intercompany loans.
  • Review and approve cash requirements and invoices.
  • Direct and work with third party partner for audit and tax matters
  • Coordinate tax return filings for all projects, related entities, and personal returns for the CEO
  • Coordinate tax estimates for CEO, partners, and investors.
  • Coordinate real estate tax appeal process for all properties.
  • Coordinate and manage treasury activities for all the company’s bank account (Include banking relationships, online banking, process wire transfers, internal transfers, and balance reporting)
  • Manage compliance with loan documents with respect to Guarantor deliverables.
  • Review and comment on loan documents with respect to Financial Reporting Requirements
  • Coordinate debt schedule of all outstanding loans
  • Manage schedule of Chairman and CEO’s Guarantees / Contingent Liabilities
  • Coordinate unit closing process / lender payoff and partial releases.
  • Ensure compliance with Operating Agreements with respect to financial aspects of each deal (capital contributions, distributions, loans, and reporting requirements)
  • Manage relations with partners regarding approvals, capital calls, budgets, cash flows and financial statements.
  • Manage schedule of investor’s contributions, distributions, and loans to / from projects
  • Manage return of capital and distribution of profits to owners and investors
  • Maintain document control of financial records, operating agreements, loan documents, tax returns, organizational documents, contracts.
  • Maintain books for all corporate entities and high tier projects.
  • Create forecasts and annual budgets to help executives make key decisions.
  • Oversee Account Payable & Receivable
  • Handle monthly Inflows and outflows.
  • Monthly Loan Balances and KPI Reporting



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required
  • 6 – 9 years of related experience
  • Experience working in real estate, REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of experience with Yardi or a similar accounting software
  • Ability and passion to stay-up-to date with current real estate deals & news
  • Ability and passion to stay-up to date with US FED monetary policy, stock market and other market trends
  • Be willing to do whatever is best for the accounting team as needed and provide support to fellow team members
