  • Company’s Production Engineering Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated (VWF) Engineer for Resin Parts and Jig Development.
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to design bumper / body jigs for the painting processes and confirm that safety, quality, productivity and cost all meet design targets.
  • To support the Paint’s department's objective to develop bumper jigs and study resin structure all new vehicle models.

Responsibilities:

  • For bumper jig design and development, visiting suppliers to manage jig quality, budget, and feedback from manufacturing site.
  • CAE Programs to improve jig design, and cleaning processes .
  • Resin parts to meet all company standards and provide feedback to design groups.
  • Reports showing resin parts structure and jigs meet all quality, productivity and cost criteria
  • On-line trials on the production floor to confirm actual results vs planned.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline and 1 plus year in plastics/paint or related field
  • High Level Experience and knowledge of CAE
  • Experience developing and designing weld check fixtures
  • High Level Experience with Catia V5 and Hypermesh CAE simulation software
  • Ability to Travel within North America including Mexico and Canada and Japan

What you may bring:

  • Experience with Rapid Prototyping and check fixture design
  • Experience working with suppliers to maintain project schedule, budget, and quality milestones.
