The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for meeting regularly with Business Unit Leaders and related IT and non-IT professionals to determine the Company’s short- term and long-term application and data needs. Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test and modify computer systems, programs and integrations. Lead or assist in managing application migrations and version upgrades (major and minor releases), including both in-house and SaaS related environments. Apply system-analyst techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or systems functional specifications. Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements, preparing a workflow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic. Analyze user information system needs and document the functionality and requirements. Research, evaluate and recommend solutions and appropriate technology to meet user's needs. Provides and maintains reference documentation for IT Support. Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analyzing requirements; developing software systems. Develop and maintain security protocols related to software, website and intranet use. Partner with project leaders on business initiatives to design and develop the required infrastructure. Conduct pilot testing, recommend system or process enhancements, execution of project deliverables. Tests software and hardware to evaluate and make recommendations for management review.


Requirements


  • Job location is onsite Monday through Friday at the company Home Office in Winston Salem, NC
  • 1-3+ years of experience as a Programmer Analyst/ Developer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, concentration in Programming preferred
  • Experience in systems design, programming and/or systems software and support.
  • Strong understanding of UI design principles, cross-browser compatibility, and web standards.
  • Developer experience with web applications and programming languages such as HTML, Windows .NET Framework, REACT, Vue, VB.Net, ASP.net, CSS, ColdFusion, Python, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and API’s.
  • Database design/administration experience (Design, implementation, modification).
  • Proficient in writing fine-tuned SQL queries, stored procedures (e.g., PL/SQL code) and working with data in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL etc.
