Position Summary

Job Description:


· Interface with Corporate Workplace Technology Project Managers and the project LOB contacts


· Provide guidance on project requirements vs technology standards


· Deal with many projects that vary from fast turnaround to multi-phased initiatives.


· Primary voice liaison between the technology project manager and the other vendors supporting the project

LOB Job Description –


· Interprets voice project request and ensures it can be deployed within standards define by architect and engineers.


· Works with multiple vendors and internal partners to complete projects in a timely manner.


· Provide input to technical direction.


· Provide guidance and recommendations specific to project requirements.


Key Responsibilities


· Participate in project meetings to support the voice technology for new site builds, site closures, site relocations, and site modifications.


· Ensure LOB and production characteristics are understood


· Participates in peer review of the site designs to ensure it meet standards set by the architect team


· Primary liaison between the project manager and the vendors; Implementation team, carriers, fax team and 911 service. Assist in maintaining number management database.


· Provide subject matter expertise to the project managers and site contacts for the line of business.


· Identify risks and recommend remediation process


· Maintain number management / voice inventory database



Required Skills

Required Skills:


• AS, BS or BA in engineering or computer science


• 5+ Years of experience in IP Voice/Telecom industry. Experience in financial industry is preferred


• Ability to thoroughly review, understand and interpret technology updates for applicability in the environment we support.


• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers and management.


• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.


• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and respond under pressure.


• Familiar with technology trends in networking, examples include but not limited to software defined networking.


• Expertise in voice technologies including but not limited to SIP Trunking and SIP interworking, voice over IP protocols (H.323/SIP), IP PBX, session management etc.


• Expertise in Cisco voice platforms and unified communication and collaboration technologies.


• Experience with networking products such as routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and WAN optimization products.


• Knowledge of other vendors such as Juniper, Aruba, Arista, Cisco and Sonus/Ribbon is a plus.


• Maintain and update engineering documentation and standard operating procedures.




Technical Skills:


• Demonstrate extensive technical experience working with large VoIP network using Cisco Voice collaboration platforms and solutions including Call Manager/CUCM, Unity Connection Voice Mail, Carrier Circuit Provisioning, Webex, Webex Teams, MRA, Expressway, Telepresence, CMS, TMS and video end points DX,SX,IX.


· Expertise in Microsoft Excel.


• Sound working knowledge of SRTP, RTP, Opus, SCCP, and SIP and SIP interworking.


• Broad working knowledge of call routing in complex fortune 500 company with QSIG, MGCP, CAC, H323 and SIP


• Firm understanding of TDM, VoIP and call control disciplines as well as next generation networks using APIs, WebRTC, and HTML5.


• SIP and Traditional ISDN/PRI Trunking and broad experience with carrier network, SIP trunking interworking including RFC standards


• Extensive understanding of QoS standards and best practice for Real Time media


• E911 configuration on Cisco products and West/Intrado


• SfB/Lync on premise and on line solutions
