Imagine yourself working with one of the fastest growing solar companies in the US. In this role you would be overseeing and coordinating the estimation process for designated construction projects, encompassing the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of estimates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing project plans, specifications, and requirements.
  • Conducting accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing materials.
  • Managing subcontractor solicitations and site evaluations.
  • Assessing labor and construction equipment expenses.
  • Developing conceptual estimates.
  • Ensuring adherence to bidding and project timelines.
  • Initiating material procurement requests.
  • Evaluating competitive trade bids.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager to review initial quotes and pre-bid estimates and securing bid documents.
  • Compiling subcontractor bid lists and distributing drawings.
  • Contributing to bid preparation activities.
  • Supporting onsite personnel with post-bid estimate adjustments.
  • Facilitating post-bid procurement as necessary.
  • Cultivating positive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.


Requirements (desirable, not essential):

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline
  • 5 years estimating, cost control and/or estimating experience related to Utility-Scale Solar, electrical
  • Strong computer skills are a necessity, including familiarity with construction project management applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and are required to interface directly with owners' representatives, the A/E team, building departments and other team member
