Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.

Team Leadership and Coordination

  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including Workday consultants, HR/Finance/IT stakeholders, and other relevant departments.
  • Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and address issues promptly.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues regularly to stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management and Problem Resolution

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve technical, operational, or stakeholder-related issues that arise during the project.

System Implementation and Configuration

  • Oversee the implementation of Workday modules such as HCM, Financials, Payroll, and others as required.
  • Ensure the system is configured to meet business needs, including necessary customizations and integrations.

Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Develop and oversee testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ensure the system meets quality standards and functions as expected before going live.

Training and Change Management

  • Coordinate training programs for end-users and administrators.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the new system.

Go-Live and Post-Go-Live Support

  • Manage the go-live process, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to Workday.
  • Provide post-go-live support, including troubleshooting, system enhancements, and ongoing system optimization.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, status reports, and issue logs.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on project progress, milestones, and key metrics.

Continuous Improvement

  1. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Workday system and broader project management practices.
  2. Implement best practices to enhance project delivery and system performance.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Workday Project Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Workday modules and implementation methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering successful Workday projects.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on risk management and issue resolution.
