Retail Planner

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Planner to work for our client in the Retail industry. Apply now for consideration

Contract: W2, 4-months

Location: Reynoldsburg, OH (Hybrid schedule: Onsite 3x per week, typically Tuesday–Thursday)

Pay Range: $38-41/Hour DOE

Brief Summary:

This is an entry-level individual contributor role serving as the business manager for a smaller or less complex book of business. The Planner will be responsible for translating the Merchant's vision into viable plans, developing sales, inventory, and margin strategies, and partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize distribution channels.

Responsibilities:

• Translate Merchant strategies into actionable and profitable financial plans for assigned merchandise categories.
• Develop and maintain sales, inventory, and margin plans to meet financial targets.
• Collaborate with Merchants and Planners to optimize assortment strategies by cluster and distribution channels (Stores, Internet, Catalogue, Wholesale).
• Partner with Demand Forecasters to ensure alignment between statistical forecasts, merchandise plans, and business goals.
• Analyze performance data and make recommendations for inventory and sales improvements.
• Contribute to assortment planning and cluster strategy adjustments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, economics, business, statistics, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning, demand planning, inventory management, allocation, replenishment, financial planning, or analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and features.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make recommendations to optimize business performance.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams.
