Job Summary:

We are seeking an Experienced and Highly Skilled Automation Engineer with a focus on design/implementation of automation solutions for Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, in pharmaceutical or Biotech highly regulated environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Key Responsibilities:Designs and implements automation solutions for Allen Bradley and Siemens systems based on customer requirements.
  • Experience in developing and testing PLC programs for both Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, including ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text programming
  • Configures Allen Bradley and Siemens systems to meet specific application requirements.
  • Experience in testing and validating the performance of the configured systems
  • Identifies and troubleshoots issues with Allen Bradley and Siemens systems using diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Documents all configurations and testing procedures in detail and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders
  • Verifies Functional requirements against the code.
  • Ability to work on Rockwell platforms.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in automation validation, with hands-on expertise in Wonderware software (Wonderware system platform, InTouch, Historian).
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, control systems and SCADA systems.
  • Experience with version control systems and agile methodologies is advantageous.
  • Must be knowledged and experienced in the usage of OSI-PI software.
  • Must be able to continuously monitoring and evaluating the performance of Allen Bradley and Siemens systems and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and productivity
  • Works closely with other team members, including project managers, Suppliers, electrical engineers, and technicians, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • About you:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in qualification activities for Pharmaceutical Industries.
  • Proven experience in test automation including developing and executing automated test scripts.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in automation validation, with hands-on expertise in Wonder ware software (Wonder ware system platform, InTouch, Historian).
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, control systems and SCADA systems.
  • Experience with version control systems and agile methodologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and discuss technical solutions associated with WFI systems.
  • Hands on experience in the development of Life Cycle documents such as Project Validation Plans, User Requirement Specifications and Risk Assessments.
  • Hands on experience in the elaboration and execution of FAT, Commissioning, SAT, Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification and Performance Qualification Protocols and Qualification Reports.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Fluency in English (reading, speaking and writing) is a must.


  • Physical Demands:Ability to work 100% on-site in Rocky Mount, NC.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including cleanroom settings.
