Position Summary:
As a Principal Software Engineer at CareHalo, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering robust, scalable software solutions that support our healthcare platforms. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead a talented, diverse engineering team, including international members, fostering collaboration across borders. You’ll collaborate with teams across the company to develop key solutions that enhance patient care and provider efficiency. Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems and cloud technologies like Azure or AWS.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 10+ years of software engineering experience, OR a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 8+ years of experience, OR equivalent experience.
- Proven experience implementing large-scale distributed software services, using modern DevOps practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, Azure DevOps), and cloud-based delivery models.
- Strong architectural and system design skills.
- Expertise in computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships across teams and organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of mentoring others and driving engineering teams toward excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable products and services that deliver immediate value and can adapt to future healthcare needs.
- Provide technical leadership across service fundamentals, ensuring reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Own and influence design discussions for complex system architectures, and lead the creation of architecture and design documentation.
- Mentor and guide other engineers to produce extensible, maintainable code, and establish best practices for coding and software development.
- Drive technical leadership during code reviews to ensure the highest quality standards are met and that solutions are reliable and effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technology and drive the adoption of new products.
