Position Summary:

The Credit Analyst is responsible for independently reviewing and assessing lending transactions as well as monitoring the credit risk of those transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with Lenders and assist them with credit underwriting for new/renewed loans.
2. Prepare written summary of conclusions for loan officers or committees.
3. Assist lending officers in assembling other essential components of commercial loan monitoring and review.
4. Identify problem loans, including making recommendations to mitigate risk.
5. Ensure covenant compliance and adherence to all Bank policies and procedures.
6. Recommend improvements to systems and processes utilized for loan credit analysis and quality assurance.
7. Assist with periodic Board and Committee reports and Special projects as needed.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Training:

1. Knowledge of computer technology including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, E-Mail, and internet navigation.
2. Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers, employees, and management.
3. In-depth knowledge of all loan products, policies, and procedures.
4. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
5. Display a willingness to make decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment and make timely decisions.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Economics, preferred.
2. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Ability to analyze financial data and narrative information quickly and thoroughly.
4. Self-starter, and creative thinker looking to grow with our Bank.
5. Prior experience in the finance or banking industry is preferred.
6. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Consumer Privacy and Fair Lending along with industry best practices that pertain to this position.
