POSITION TITLE: National General Electrical Superintendent


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Directly responsible for supervising and overseeing multiple projects consisting of on-site supervision of field supervisors, lead persons/crew leaders, journeypersons, apprentices and/or helpers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and preferred vendors.
  • Oversee daily project coordination.
  • Create and maintain all jobsite orders and changer orders.
  • Oversee and plan Electrical Projects with the General Contractor from pre-construction to turnover.
  • Enforce safety requirements on site and promote onsite hazard analysis.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled site visits for QA/QC purposes.
  • Provide general support to Project Manager & Site Coordinators.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to resolve construction difficulties that occur.
  • Proficient skills in reading construction drawings, specifications, electrical submittals, and blue prints.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures in areas of human resources, jobsite documentation, and project completion.
  • Partake in potential new employee interview processes, and conduct performance reviews to implement continued training and ensure mentorship for growth.
  • Collaborate with support departments such as prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the electrical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years in a site leadership role.
  • Must possess at a minimum (1) electrical license (if it is a Journeyman license, must obtain an Electrical Masters within (12) months of hire).
  • Masters license strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes and standards.
  • Understanding of project cost, schedule, and organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel on a weekly basis, either scheduled or unscheduled.
  • Open to overtime and working weekends.
