Director of Tax (Hybrid)

As the Director of Tax, you will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy, navigating complex tax regulations and driving tax efficiency.


Summary: As the Director of Tax, you will oversee all tax-related activities for the company, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws. You will lead strategic tax planning, minimize risk, and identify opportunities for tax savings to support our business objectives. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of corporate tax and international tax regulations.


What You’ll Do:

  • Tax Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute tax strategies that align with the company’s financial and operational goals.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations at the federal, state, and international levels. Lead the preparation and filing of all tax returns.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks, including audits and disputes. Maintain relationships with external tax authorities and consultants.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment of tax strategies with business operations.
  • International Tax Expertise: Oversee global tax planning initiatives, including transfer pricing, tax treaties, and international tax compliance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership on tax liabilities, opportunities, and strategies.


What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax, including leadership roles.
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
  • Proven track record in tax strategy, planning, and compliance.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
