Our client is a LONG-STANDING organization with decades of history producing and supplying products within diverse metal markets. WITH CURRENT AND EXPANDING new business our client is looking to fill an ASSISTANT CONTROLLER position within their high-performance organization.


POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the CFO, the ASSISTANT CONTROLLER will perform day-to-day accounting functions in a growing, profitable, build-to-order manufacturing business. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and implementation of systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting business information with a hands-on approach.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain general ledger.
  • Job cost accounting and reconciliation.
  • Assist with month and end-year closing process.
  • Accounts payable/receivable processing and reconciliation.
  • Processing of material receipts and issues.
  • Assist with treasury activities.
  • Payroll and benefit management.
  • Assist with budget and forecast preparation.
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
  • Capital asset reconciliation.
  • Report and analyze data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Assist with annual physical inventories and financial audit.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar - required.
  • Three (3) years of accounting experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experienced in ERP system administration.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
