Junior Environmental Scientist – Site Assessment and Remediation
Triton Environmental, LLC (“Triton”)is actively searching for a Junior Environmental Scientist to join our Site Assessment and Remediation team in Guilford, Connecticut. Triton is a full-service environmental consulting and engineering services firm, and part of True Environmental (“True”). At True we are building a diversified environmental services organization focused on consulting and engineering, water/wastewater management, testing/analytical services, and value-add remediation services. This is a great opportunity to join our growing team
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversight of environmental field work including subsurface investigations, monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, underground tank removals, and remediation projects.
- Office tasks, including project support, data evaluation, boring and monitoring well log development, and assistance with report deliverables.
- Collaborate with other Assessment/Remediation team members to review and revise written work products.
- Coordinate subcontractors including drilling and remediation contractors and laboratories.
- Coordinate scheduling to meet client’s deadlines.
- Analyze data, prepare client reports, and communicate with clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology or a related scientific field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in a directly-related science discipline.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training;
Previous field sampling experience.
- Self-starter, work with little supervision
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving
