Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works within economics databases and software, maintaining database of owned interest properties
  • Handle incoming elections, reserve classification conversions, and workovers with support as needed from engineering team
  • Montior and respond to changing trends in analytics, well shut ins, changing LOE trends, etc.
  • Handle database conversions into ComboCurve, prepare well data as needed for deal underwriting
  • Handle set up of databases for mineral deals and deal scoping, implementing engineering assumptions and type curves
  • Work with software engineer to ensure accurate and complete well data is available for underwriting efforts
  • Perform data capture processes as necessary to support analytics efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies/Qualifications

  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt and exemplify flexibility around shifting priorities
  • Basic skills with data & analytics applications
  • HS diploma required and 3 years of Oil and Gas Industry experience working as an Engineering Tech, Engineering Specialist, or related role
  • Database management skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, and ARIES
  • Ability to make back-end updates, inserts, and manipulations into ARIES

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related degree
  • History working with ComboCurve and Spotfire
  • Familiarity with Python, R, etc. is a plus.
