Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled HR and Systems Administrator to support key HR functions and contribute to the overall success of the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the HRIS system, processing payroll, administering employee benefits, and maintaining employee records. You will be integral to the organization’s operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and fostering a supportive environment for all employees. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is committed to making a positive impact on company culture.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the administration of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data.
- Prepare and process semi-monthly, multi-state payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits, including new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, employee terminations, and COBRA administration.
- Maintain organized and compliant employee records within the HRIS and other systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to ensure smooth integration of HR-related systems.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations, implementing changes as needed to remain compliant.
- Generate and present regular reports on HR metrics, trends, and insights to support decision-making and drive continuous improvements.
- Support the organization’s ongoing transformational efforts, engaging with employees and contributing to the development of a thriving company culture.
- Serve as a change agent, leading by example and demonstrating openness to organizational growth and evolving business needs.
Other Requirements
- Proven experience in an HR administration role, preferably in a multi-state, high-growth organization.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and company policies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with ATS, HRIS, and payroll/benefit systems.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a drive for success and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on employee experience.
