Our rapidly growing and acquisitive $100MM Manufacturing client is searching for a CFO to be part of a private equity backed enterprise. You will work closely with the President on a daily basis and will interface regularly with the private equity investors regarding the performance of the business.

You will develop an understanding of the company’s products, markets, and business strategy and perform financial analysis that provides insight into operational and business decision making. In addition to leadership skills, you should have worked in manufacturing, managed bank relationships, and led financing options. Lastly, M&A due diligence and integration experience, along with having completed an ERP implementation, is highly desired and a differentiating factor.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be a close business partner of the President contributing to the development of a new business-wide strategic plan and the senior leadership team’s relentless execution against that plan
  • Oversee preparation of Financial Statements - P&L, BS and Cash Flow. Develop detailed revenue, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts
  • Lead the corporate budgeting process in partnership with company management to align department objectives with long term company goals
  • Ensures compliance with GAAP and establishes and maintains internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets and improve the accuracy and consistency of reported financial results.
  • Support the President’s cadence of daily / weekly leadership team meetings, monthly operating reviews with the private equity owner, and quarterly business reviews with the Board of Directors.
  • Drive the company productivity and fuel growth by identifying cost savings and opportunities to fund investments with strong ROI
  • Assist in the due diligence and execution of acquisition opportunities and lead the financial integration process
  • Develop an efficient and highly effective finance team, providing individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities
  • Play a central role in leading an enterprise-wide ERP implementation and/or have experience operating numerous systems and data environments that support timely and effective reporting.
  • Maintain all banking relationships and initiate strategies to strengthen cash position.
  • Monitoring manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of progressive financial management & leadership experience
  • Experience in a business with revenue greater than $100m.
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of driving financial performance and contributing to business growth.
  • An extensive background in manufacturing;
  • M&A and integration acumen is strongly desired.
  • Previous experience as a financial leader in a PE-backed environment with P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems and Leadership over IT and Treasury
  • Early career experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
  • An undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting; a CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills required
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
