  • The IT Sourcing Manager negotiates with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by developing and implementing strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements, and process efficiencies. This role is crucial for the daily operations, focusing on efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability.



RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SOURCING SPECIALIST:


  • Complete IT purchase requests for software, services, telecom, cyber, and hardware.
  • Verify specifications and determine the need for RFI, RFP, or RFQ.
  • Administer RFI, RFP, or RFQ processes.
  • Negotiate cost-effective agreements with key suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and legal counsel to negotiate contractual terms.
  • Coordinate contracts change requests.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality and Performance, Strategic Sourcing, and Business Partners.
  • Support continuous improvement frameworks, metrics, and goals.
  • Use verification techniques to manage contractual obligations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Proactively manage contracts to fully executed status.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial, legal, and contractual requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams.
  • Perform other non-essential duties as assigned.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR SOURCING SPECIALIST:


  • Previous experience in IT software category management.
  • Knowledge of business law, commercial terms and conditions, and related legal issues.
  • Experience in IT contract development and management.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT services/sourcing, focusing on SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS contracting.
  • Previous experience in an IT support role.
  • Ability to develop and evolve sourcing management processes and metrics.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and escalation mechanisms.
  • Proven experience in creating, analyzing, negotiating, and editing contracts.



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SOURCING SPECIALIST:


  • advanced ability to influence stakeholders and deliver customer service.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong supplier management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including advanced Excel, PowerBI, ServiceNow, and SAP.
  • Ability to analyze data, scope, and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Knowledge of the complete procurement cycle, including RFQ and RFP packages.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing and project management software.
  • Ability to handle difficult discussions and situations with suppliers or stakeholders.
  • Tenacity and initiative in securing relevant information and identifying key issues.
  • Less than a bachelor’s degree may be acceptable if accompanied by 4-7 years of relevant experience in positions demonstrating required abilities and performance.
