SUMMARY:

This person will support the planning and execution of the matchday experience at San Diego FC matches. In this role, you will execute the Club’s approach to delivering a new matchday experience to fans during the inaugural season and beyond.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of San Diego FC matchdays, ranging from run of show assistance to the management of pre-match activations and beyond,
  • Book all entertainment and talent, including National Anthem singers, Color Guard, DJs, Flyovers, and any live music.
  • Facilitate performance logistics and travel arrangements for all talent and entertainment.
  • Serve as the on-field producer for all entertainment elements, including National Anthem and Color Guard, pregame entertainment and halftime shows.
  • Coordinate the pyro plan for all San Diego FC matches.
  • Manage the execution of the San Diego FC pre-match tradition/ritual.
  • Coordinate event logistics for all San Diego FC matches at Snapdragon Stadium such as staffing, credentials, ticketing, room locations, and catering.
  • Facilitate consumer-facing activation planning in the lead-up to San Diego FC matchdays, including ball kids, player mascots, and celebrity appearances when applicable.
  • Create and review plans for theme nights to deliver unique experiences for fans.
  • Organize rehearsals, and provide guidance and conduct for match-day talent.
  • Create detailed game day timelines to be shared internally for necessary departments.
  • Collaborate with club departments to enhance the overall match-day experience and partner activations.
  • Develop good relationships with other departments such as Corporate Partnerships, Stadium Operations, and Community Relations.
  • Manage relationships with stadium and third-party vendors.
  • Manage emergency situations on the pitch calmly and stay up to date on all MLS and Snapdragon Stadium procedures.
  • Support the ongoing conception and development of elements for the San Diego FC matchday experience.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates can meet the qualifications for this role with a combination of education, experience and skills.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in event production and presentation
  • Experience on-field producing MLS or other professional sports game presentations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and apply industry insights, drawing inspiration both within and outside the soccer world.
  • Knowledge of control room and production environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to diverse tasks to achieve team goals.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Maintain disposition in stressful and busy times
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate all home games and events.
  • English language proficiency (Spanish language skills are a major plus)
