Selby Jennings is working with a New Orleans based private equity firm that is seeking talented additions at the Associate, Senior Associate and VP positions within their deal team. This firm is generalist, making buyout and growth investments in middle market businesses across a variety of industries. This firm is growing quickly from a team and AUM standpoint and provides a career track opportunity to finance professionals with ties to Louisiana or the wider southern region.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and evaluating actionable investment opportunities.
- Managing the acquisition pipelines for current portfolio companies.
- Preparing investment committee reports to present to senior management.
- Conduct modeling and financial risk analysis of business opportunities.
- Perform ongoing competitive analysis and work closely with internal stakeholders to assist in the company's strategic decision-making process.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a Finance related field is required
- 1 - 3 years (Associate) or 6+ years (VP) of relevant work experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategic management consulting.
- Strong accounting, financial modeling, and data analysis skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to draft clear, concise, and comprehensive presentations and memoranda.
