Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer to join our team in a hybrid capacity, working on-site three days a week. This role is critical to designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable database solutions to meet our growing business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL database development with a deep understanding of Azure / Azure DevOps, T-SQL, and the ability to design complex database objects like views, tables, and stored procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using SQL and T-SQL.
- Implement and maintain views, tables, stored procedures, and other database objects to support application functionality.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration with the application architecture.
- Utilize Azure and Azure DevOps to manage, deploy, and automate database changes.
- Conduct performance tuning and query optimization to ensure high-performing databases.
- Ensure database security, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define database requirements.
- Document database designs, processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Database Development.
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Proven experience with Azure and Azure DevOps for database management and CI/CD processes.
- Expertise in designing and managing database objects such as views, tables, and stored procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in complex SQL environments.
- Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
