LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Coporate Paralegal to support a global legal team. The Corporate Paralegal will perform support functions in all aspects of the daily operations of the legal department by reviewing, gathering, organizing and processing a variety of corporate documents and supporting the overall operations. The right candidate will have experience in dynamic in-house legal departments. This opportunity is on a hybrid schedule, full time and direct hire.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support corporate governance for global entities including entity management, filings and record keeping
- Support the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary in Board with secretarial duties including drafting agendas, collecting signatures, maintaining and filing resolutions
- Maintain the intellectual property portfolio, including performance of initial trademark searches and collection of specimens required for renewals
- Provide contract support for standard corporate agreements such as non-disclosure, sales, logistics and independent contractor agreements including initial drafting, review of revisions and filing of signed agreements
- Provide support for documents and activities related to corporate restructurings, such as mergers, formations, and dissolutions
- Draft Powers of Attorney and lead activities required to apostille, legalize and consularize documents required by global affiliates, agencies and lenders
- Provide light administrative support for the legal team as needed
- Work with other members of the executive team on special projects and initiatives
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 6 years’ experience supporting in-house legal departments; Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including with Board, CEO and an Executive Team
- Attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Superior prioritization skills to meet deadlines in fast-paced global environment
- Finely honed analytical skills and judgement to work through complex issues
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- North Carolina notary required
- Proficiency using virtual data rooms to upload and organize documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Salary Range: $100K-$110K (potential bonus of 10%-15%)
