Job Description:

The Trading Coordinator will oversee and execute trading activities across various platforms, manage trading alerts and notifications, and collaborate with key trading partners. This role also involves supporting Summit Advisors with portfolio design proposals and ensuring best practices are followed. Trading Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute trade requests across multiple platforms
  • Monitor and manage firm and advisor-led models
  • Act as a resource for Advisors in portfolio design proposals and modeling the impact of various trade requests
  • Manage trade calendars to ensure the timely execution of trades
  • Review notifications related to trading and resolve any issues that arise
  • Collaborate with trading partners at Raymond James and other investment firms to provide best-in-class support and research


Best Practices for Advisors:

  • Work with the trading team and Advisors/Client Service Coordinators to provide reports that allow for the proactive review and resolution of issues
  • Oversee annual Tax Loss Harvesting for the firm and ensure smooth communication and execution
  • Provide regular training and best practices related to trading platforms and processes for our Advisors teams


Skills and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Series 7 and 66 (or 6 and 63 in lieu of 66) licenses
  • Prior experience with platform-based trading software
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience, preferably in a trading and/or investment management capacity
  • Proficiency in the MS 365 Suite
  • Comprehensive understanding of equity and mutual fund trading, including stop orders, limit orders, market orders, GTC orders, margin requirements, and option orders
