Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for working on escalated Service Desk issues and troubleshooting on-site network, printer, and advanced computer issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing servers, networks, printers and warehouse technology equipment (e.g. scanners), and must possess a proactive approach to problem-solving with a customer-centric focus. This position will be primarily on-site at our Piscataway, New Jersey facilities.


Essential Functions

Support and Escalations:

  • Solve escalated tickets from the Service Desk team, providing specialized expertise in troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Act as liaison between IT Service Operations Manager and Service Support Specialists to reinforce implemented processes and procedures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes within our ITIL system, FreshService.
  • Conduct training of new Service Operations staff

Network Administration:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
  • Assist on-site with wiring installations, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Security Compliance:

  • Investigate and remedy out-of-compliance tasks.
  • Assist with conducting regular security assessments and audits.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate new technologies and propose improvements to existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless IT operations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in information technology.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and people skills are required.
  • Creative thinker and strong troubleshooting and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.


COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of server and desktop operating systems (Windows).
  • Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with low voltage wiring installations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
