We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Operations (SOC) Manager to lead our IT Security Operations team in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing technical teams, tracking and reporting team activities, and overseeing scheduling and task assignments. This role requires providing support for the resolution of technical and project-focused initiatives, as well as planning, initiating, and managing information technology (IT) projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • IT Security Operations Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of IT Security Operations, ensuring effective performance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and guide technical teams, ensuring clear communication, task assignment, and scheduling to achieve project milestones.
  • Activity Tracking and Reporting: Track and report on team activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in all operations.
  • Project Support: Provide support for the resolution of technical issues and project-focused initiatives, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Project Planning and Management: Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects, including defining project stages and assessing business implications for each stage.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as the liaison between business and technical aspects of projects, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress to ensure that deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.


Qualifications:


  • 7-10 years’ experience in IT Security Operations
  • 5 or more years of experience Managing technical teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate team members.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, initiation, and monitoring of IT projects.
  • Effective communication skills to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • a high level of technical expertise and experience in managing complex IT security operations.
  • must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.


Preferred:


Certifications: GIAC Security Operations Manager (GSOM), CISSP, CISM, CompTIA CASP+, or COMPTIA Security+.
