Job Description:

  • Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
  • Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
  • Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval.


Must Haves:

  • Ability to provide elegant and effective design solutions and manage client relationships
  • A positive, creative, and professional approach to project deliverables.
  • General knowledge of Tenant Finish Design Packages: interior materials and finishes, floor plans, furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, interior details, millwork details, ceiling details etc.
  • Proficient in different construction types and detailing
  • Ability to work under indirect supervision
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
  • Technically creative and open-minded


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • Ideally a Registered Architect, however someone en route to getting registered will be highly considered
  • 8+ years of architectural experience within commercial, national brand, retail, and residential industries
  • Understanding and knowledge of various building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required. Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape or equal, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferred.
