Title Curative Specialist

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Title Curative Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will examine title commitments, prepare proforma title policy requests and work with title companies and borrowers to address vesting, encumbrance and title insurance issues. The successful candidate will ensure that real property collateral is in appropriate legal condition and that appropriate title insurance is in place for loan closings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Daily job duties include review of title commitments on construction projects, preparation of proforma title policy requests and working with title companies and borrowers to address vesting, encumbrance and title insurance issues.
- Conduct thorough research on public records, including recorded covenants, easements, liens, mortgages and court documents.
- Obtain lien releases and other documents to clear title encumbrances.
- Review new encumbrances on existing loan collateral to determine risks posed.
- Work closely with Corporate Counsel and other Legal Team members, Closing Team members, and Loan Officers to resolve title encumbrance and title insurance-related issues.
- Order and follow up on all necessary curative documents.
- Provide best-in-class service to borrowers from application through loan servicing. This includes timely and accurate processing of mortgage loans from application through loan closing and managing a portfolio of servicing customers.
- Perform other related duties and special projects, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working experience in lending, banking, or real estate.
- Title experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Hourly range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00 per hour commensurate with experience and education, plus potential for monthly production-based bonus.
