Chitra is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to join our team providing technical support for Naval Sea Logistics Command. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) directly supporting the COLUMBIA (CLB) Class Program Office Logistics Branch (PMS 397L). PMS-397 is responsible for acquisition of the COLUMBIA Class Submarine to include design, construction, and delivery of the platform to the Fleet. COLUMBIA is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance within Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
Position Requirements:
- Preferably located on the East Coast near a Naval installation, i.e. Mechanicsburg, PA; Norfolk, VA; DC; Groton, CT; etc.
- Must be eligible for and able to maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Sufficient experience in Navy Supply
- Knowledgeable of Supply terminology and processes and experienced in the following Supply System(s) – DLA, NAVY, GSA
- Possess excellent written communications skills
- Proficient in operating Microsoft; Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
- Background in Data analytics and quality assurance (Ops Research)
- Able to perform database development and report generation.
- Must be eligible/willing to travel up to five days per month to attend meetings in Washington DC; Bangor, WA; Kings Bay, GA; Groton, CT; and potentially OCONUS travel
- Routine work is conducted independently but part of a team
- May participate in submarine visits/climbing up and down ladders
Position Responsibilities:
- Provisioning conference coordinator
- Assist with developing the COLUMBIA Supply Readiness Plan to include Supply Readiness Milestone Management Plan
- Assist with developing the COLUMBIA Trident Load List Product Support Decision Memorandum
- Identify COLUMBIA supply chain issues from Provisioning and NSN data and conduct research
- Develop a process to track installed spares and coordinate with NAVSUP WSS and NSLC to identify items requiring allowance overrides
- Participate in Supply Support Working Group and Process Integration Team meetings, as needed
- Develop process to track COSAL Maintenance Actions; participate in related meetings
