Program Associate, Talent and Culture

The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) is seeking a Program Associate, Talent and Culture to join its Human Resources team. In this role, the Program Associate will enhance colleague experience through engagement initiatives, talent development programs, and internal communications. As a key member of the HR team, the Program Associate works closely with internal stakeholders across the organization to inspire and sustain an inclusive and engaged community of mission-inspired colleagues.
Reporting to the Director, HR Operations, the Program Associate is responsible for the following:
- Lead and/or support the execution of HR projects and initiatives, including milestone celebrations, recognition programs, and employee satisfaction surveys.
- Support HR Partners with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and creating candidate communications.
- Administer talent and engagement platforms as the system administrator, ensuring smooth operation and usage.
- Assist with internal communications, crafting and distributing company-wide announcements and updates.
- Onboard new hires by facilitating virtual welcome meetings and providing coverage for HR orientations.
- Support the planning and execution of company events, fostering an inclusive and engaging work environment.
- Manage Intranet updates, ensuring content is current and accessible to all employees.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace, contributing to employee engagement and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience, with at least two years in an employee engagement or human resources role. The successful incumbent will be a self-starter and have a strong desire to engage with employees and provide high-quality service and support with a focus on enhancing the overall experience. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to exercise a high degree of tact and cultural sensitivity is required. Exceptional written communication skills with a keen attention to detail are a must. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and diplomacy is essential.
A tech savvy individual will do well in this role, as learning and maintaining new technology platforms will be expected. Knowledge and familiarity with HR best practices and principles, including understanding of labor laws is desired. Additional desirable qualifications include a strong track record of taking initiative, working collaboratively, and promoting team cohesion.
This role requires an on-site office presence at least two days per week. ABIM offices are located in the historic section of Philadelphia, 510 Walnut Street, Suite 1700. Our technology and workplace operations teams provide for and support a seamless hybrid work environment for all ABIM employees.
