Position Overview: The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Immunology to lead an innovative team in the discovery and development of novel small molecule therapeutics. As the Director of Immunology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the pipeline of cutting-edge treatments aimed at addressing unmet medical needs across various disease areas.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of scientists engaged in the discovery and optimization of small molecule therapeutics.
  • Drive the design and implementation of state-of-the-art discovery platforms and technologies for small molecules.
  • Oversee the screening, characterization, and lead selection processes for small molecule candidates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, and translational research to advance projects from discovery through preclinical development.
  • Provide strategic input into project prioritization, resource allocation, and decision-making processes.
  • Foster a culture of scientific excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the Immunology team.
  • Represent the company externally through presentations at scientific conferences, collaborations, and publications.


Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in small molecule discovery methodologies, including high-throughput screening, structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, and lead optimization.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading small molecule discovery programs from target identification through lead optimization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in building and leading high-performing scientific teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting with a focus on therapeutic small molecule development is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
