Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator in Underground Utilities to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating the costs and timelines for various projects related to Sanitary, Sewer, Lift Station, Storm Water, and Irrigation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate the cost and time required for the construction of underground utility systems such as Sanitary, Storm Water, and Lift Stations.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and other project documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop the project budget and schedule.
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
- Review contractor bids and analyze subcontractor quotes to ensure compliance with project requirements and budget.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and bid documents.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating construction projects, with a focus on underground utilities and commercial construction.
- Experience with Sanitary Sewer, Storm Water, Lift Station, and Irrigation systems.
- Strong knowledge of fireline systems, force mains, and related equipment.
- Experience with storm concrete and waterline systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
