What You'll Do:

  • Oversee all on-site aspects of self-storage construction projects, from groundbreaking to completion.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring all work aligns with project plans and specifications.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and financial targets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, implementing solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure all project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders, is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Implement and enforce site safety plans, conducting safety meetings and inspections regularly.


What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a specific focus on self-storage facilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale self-storage construction projects from start to finish.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to self-storage facilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Must reside in or near Port Charlotte, FL, with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
