POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Financial Planning Analyst provides analytic support to business users throughout the organization by providing quantitative insights to help them make informed business decisions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Support the monthly forecast and annual planning process
  • Assist in consolidating monthly and modeling future income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow results
  • Contribute to the design of operational incentive plans and report on results
  • Leverage tools and existing data (e.g., POS, menu/inventory, marketing, payroll, accounting, Google Analytics) to develop robust quantitative models and analytical insights that support our business initiatives, including but not limited to menu engineering, labor productivity, promotions, inventory, social media, and web traffic.
  • Act as internal consultant partnering with clients to identify opportunities to increase profit and streamline business processes.
  • Communicate and explain the results of more technical analyses to business partners in an intuitive fashion and recommend ways to further inform and evaluate success of an ongoing initiatives.
  • Administer operational reporting to Senior Executives via dashboard design and relational databases.
  • Develop strategic and financial analyses of potential mergers and acquisitions.



SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's degree in business discipline (MBA or Master’s preferred)

Experience: Three to seven years related experience

Computer Skills: Advanced Excel skills with a strong proficiency in Access, PowerPoint, business intelligence tools, and accounting packages (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred).A basic understanding of SQL is also preferred but can be taught upon hire.
