Summary of Position

The Director of Sales is responsible for establishing and driving the company’s overall sales initiatives and strategies to ensure the achievement of sales goals, focusing on client relationship management to deliver excellent customer service.


Essential Functions

  • and implement sales initiatives and strategies, including sales forecasting and goal setting.
  • market research for both new sales and renewals.
  • the Sales Cycle from initial prospecting to agreement execution.
  • lead, develop, and manage a team of Sales Managers in closing new sales and renewals, motivating them to achieve and exceed assigned sales, retention, and profit goals, while monitoring their performance.
  • with the Business Development function to identify opportunities for new business and provide opportunities to Sales Managers, maximizing tools such as Co Star.
  • on retention by managing our current book of business, with consideration for growth.
  • prioritize, and respond to customer communication in a timely manner, particularly during the winter season.
  • new and existing contracts for alignment with our business strategy and compliance with all applicable standards, laws, and regulations.
  • weekly sales reports and communicate data to the Senior Management Team.
  • trade shows and other networking events to drive new business.
  • a subject matter expert on business services, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on snow industry news and best practices.
  • with the Operations Team to provide optimal service to our customers by assisting in: procurement of service providers, reviewing service provider performance, monitoring CrewTracker during storm events, and performing site inspections as needed.
  • thoughtful resolutions to customer issues and communicating these issues with Senior Management and others appropriately.
  • and lead the weekly sales meeting.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 7-10 years B2B sales experience, preferably selling facilities maintenance services
  • 4+ years in sales leadership/management position with demonstrated strong leadership skills and accountability.
  • Proven track record of driving sales by managing a sales team to achieve or exceed performance metrics and goals
  • 24x7 availability to be on call during the winter season, and hours will vary during different times of the year.
  • Certified Snow Professional (CSP) Certification currently held or the willingness to pursue and attain CSP Certification.
  • Estimated travel percentage is 25-50%, dependent upon time of year.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Power Point, and Excel (specifically working with formulas, data sorting and analysis).
  • Experience with Zoho or other CRM system strongly preferred.
  • Quantitative analysis skills.
  • Problem solving skills, including timely follow through.
  • Customer-focused; positive demeanor. The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide audience (internal and external).
  • Hold current drivers license, accompanied by a satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
  • Flexibility in schedule vital, particularly during peak times.
  • Must be readily adaptable to fast-paced, changing/evolving environment.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted.


Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • in an office environment, many times in a remote capacity, using standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • and mental endurance required for 24x7 availability during the winter season. Travel, mostly driving a motor vehicle to view and/or walk properties in winter weather conditions during a snow event or attend offsite meetings during sales seasons.
  • ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, ascend/descend stairs, and walk for various lengths of time during business hours.
  • ability to lift 25 pounds if needed.
