Reporting to the Vice President of Merchandising and Planning, the Inventory and Allocation Planner plays a critical role in ensuring seamless product availability and placement, optimal inventory levels, and marketing calendar alignment across our omnichannel retail environment. This individual will analyze complex sales data, present to key stakeholders, forecast demand, and strategically allocate inventory to maximize sales and margin, reduce stockouts, and maintain healthy inventory levels throughout our stores, e-commerce website, specialty, major accounts, and any partner channels. In this role you'll ensure on-time delivery of the right product to the right place by collaborating closely with all teams at Hammitt.


Responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain weekly selling reports and present recaps to cross-functional teams
  • Analyze selling data across all channels on a weekly basis and report on re-order recommendations, top seller data, and inventory transfer opportunities
  • Build, establish, and monitor a replenishment tool and replenish the Retail Stores on a weekly basis, address stockouts proactively, ensuring product availability 
  • Assist with forecasting inventory levels by channel across categories and seasons by analyzing historical and current data, using sell through and weeks of supply metrics
  • Utilize customer and sales data to determine needs of stores such as inventory levels, market trends, seasonality, promotional events, product assortment, and new product launches - identify trends of current and past products
  • Work closely with Production team on Open Order reports and monitoring incoming purchase orders and communicating if we need to shift delivery dates
  • Assist Production team on preparing Inbound Shipments from our factories
  • Occasionally travel to store locations and our warehouse to review inventory levels, product mix, transfer orders, special requests, obtain feedback, and analyze market competition and trends 
  • Execute transfer orders between DTC and Wholesale channels to maximize sales
  • Work with Wholesale team on account sales orders, ensuring inventory is allocated to the proper sales orders and transfer inventory if necessary
  • Partner with the DTC team to develop a seasonal marketing plan that supports inventory planning, inclusive of email calendar and campaign shoots


Core Competencies and Accomplishments: 

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in allocation, preferably within the fashion industry
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, including VLOOKUP formulas, Pivot Tables, and logic formulas 
  • Prior retail math knowledge (Revenue, Margin, Weeks of Supply, Sell Through, etc)
  • NetSuite experience and Bachelor’s degree preferred
